Terms of service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Stratorama (the "Service"), operated by JULIEN GUEDON CONSEIL. Please read them carefully. If you have any question, contact us at contact@stratorama.app.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The service

Stratorama is a web application that lets you draw a floor plan of your home and link visual elements (lights, outlets, shutters) to entities in your own Home Assistant instance via a secure relay and a Home Assistant add-on you install yourself.

3. Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
  • You provide accurate information at sign-up and keep your credentials secure.
  • One account per person. Account sharing or resale is not allowed.
  • You are responsible for any activity that occurs through your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful purposes or in violation of any applicable law.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, our infrastructure, other users' accounts, or our processors' systems.
  • Reverse-engineer, probe, scan, or load-test the Service except where permitted by law.
  • Use automated means (scrapers, bots) to collect data from the Service beyond what a documented API permits.
  • Resell, sub-license, or commercially redistribute access to the Service without our prior written agreement.
  • Send spam, malware, or content that infringes any third-party right.
  • Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm others.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules - see section 13.

5. Service status and future changes

The Service is currently provided free of charge. We may introduce optional paid features in the future. If we do, we will give you reasonable notice beforehand, and we will not remove core features that are part of the free tier without prior notice.

6. Voluntary contributions

You may choose to support the project through voluntary contributions (for example via GitHub Sponsors or similar channels we may link from the Service). Such contributions are entirely voluntary, non-refundable, and do not grant any specific feature, service tier, or right. They help fund the operation and development of the Service.

7. Intellectual property

The "Stratorama" name, logo, source code, design, and copy are the property of JULIEN GUEDON CONSEIL or used with permission. These Terms do not grant you any right over them beyond using the Service as intended.

8. Your content

You retain ownership of the data you input into the Service (floor plans, settings, bindings between elements and Home Assistant entities). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, store, and process this content solely to operate the Service for you. You can request deletion at any time, as described in the Privacy policy.

9. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or uninterrupted availability.

Important - Home Assistant and your devices. Stratorama is a visualization and control interface for your own Home Assistant instance. Home Assistant is third-party software that you install, maintain, and configure yourself. You remain solely responsible for:

  • Your Home Assistant setup, its security, and its configuration.
  • The choice of devices linked to Home Assistant and the consequences of commands you send through Stratorama.

To the maximum extent permitted by French law, JULIEN GUEDON CONSEIL shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
  • Loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption.
  • Damage to devices or property arising from your use of the Service or from third-party services or hardware you connect to it.

Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (for example, in case of gross negligence or willful misconduct) or any mandatory rights you have as a consumer.

11. Service availability

We make a reasonable effort to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be unavailable during planned maintenance, due to incidents at our processors (Supabase, OVHcloud) or at your own network or Home Assistant instance, or due to events outside our reasonable control.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms over time. Material changes will be announced through the Service or by email to active accounts. Your continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Termination

By you. You can close your account at any time from inside the app: open the settings FAB and choose Account → Delete my account. If you cannot sign in, you can also email contact@stratorama.app to request deletion.

By us. We may suspend or terminate your access in case of breach of these Terms, abuse of the Service, prolonged inactivity (3 years - see the Privacy policy), or if we discontinue the Service. We will provide reasonable notice when feasible, except in cases of serious or repeated abuse.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (in particular, intellectual property, liability, and governing law) will continue to apply.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to the Service or to these Terms shall fall under the jurisdiction of the competent French courts, subject to any mandatory provisions protecting consumers.
